Dr. Anjali Bhagra, Associate Professor of Medicine and Chair of Diversity and Inclusion, Mayo Clinic

Dr. Anjali Bhagra holds several leadership positions at Mayo Clinic including Education Chair for section of Integrative Medicine and Health, Faculty Development and Diversity Chair General Internal Medicine and has developed and co directs several Mayo Clinic continuing education conferences. She is a sought-out educator, mentor, speaker and speaks on the topics of Resilience, Leadership and Diversity and Inclusion nationally and internationally. Dr. Bhagra has received national recognition as an educator and numerous education excellence awards. 

She is a clinical investigative internist, stress and resilience expert with keen interest and expertise in sex-specific differences in well-being, resilience and leadership. Dr. Bhagra's research program focuses on stress and resilience from multiple points of view: enhancing resilience, decreasing stress and anxiety, healthy aging through optimism, leadership and resilience, work-life integration and equity and inclusion. She is the developer and co-director of the Mayo Clinic continuing medical education program resilience and leadership in medicine titled: GRIT (Growth, Resilience, Inspiration, Tenacity) for Women in Medicine. The GRIT for Women in Medicine conference is intended to empower women and men in medicine with skills and resources to remove barriers and promote gender equity and leadership of women in healthcare.
